Trump, Obama meet in Oval office

Obama welcomed the man who will succeed him into the Oval Office.

America’s President-elect Donald Trump has met Barack Obama in the Oval Office to discuss America’s political transition.President Obama has described Mr. Trump as “uniquely unqualified” to be America’s leader.

But the Obamas now say they want the transition to go as smoothly as possible,as First Lady Michelle Obama took Melania Trump into the family quarters at the White House to show her where the Trumps will be living after January’s inauguration.

One of Donald Trump’s closest advisers, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, says he is impressed by the way the Obamas are handling things.

Meanwhile, Trump has invited the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, to visit the US “as soon as possible” and called the UK a “very special place” in a telephone conversation between the two.
