The United States says it will to collaborate with Nigeria in the fight against HIV/AIDS and ensuring that those living with the virus are adequately catered for.
The Coordinator of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR), Shirley Dady said in Abuja, that her government was committed to working with the government of Nigeria and other actors to reach the UN target.
On his part, the American Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Stuart Symington, called on the leaders around the world to redouble their commitment in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Mr. Symington added that, all hands must be on deck to raise awareness about the global widespread of the HIV and AIDS virus and do everything possible to stop the threat.
Leaders around the world are expected to strengthen their commitments on the use of evidence-based HIV interventions, prevention tools, and test their efforts to help stop HIV.
