Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has paid a condolence visit to a former Attorney General of Nigeria, Justice Bola Ajibola, at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Justice Ajibola recently lost his wife, Funmilayo Ajibola, aged 74, who died in London, where she was receiving medical attention.
Handing over a condolence letter to the elder statesman, Vice President Osinbajo prayed God to grant him the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Chaplain of the Aso Rock Villa Chapel, Pastor Sheyi Malomo, who was part of the Vice President’s entourage, prayed for the repose of her soul and the family she left behind.
Justice Ajibola, who was also a judge of the International Court of Justice in the Hague, thanked the Vice President for the visit and show of love to the family.
Meanwhile, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that a good future lies ahead for citizens of Nigeria and the nation as a whole.
Pastor Adeboye gave the assurance at the monthly Holy Ghost Service of the church, at the redemption camp along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Lagos.
Speaking at the Holy Ghost service for the month of July, which had the theme, “Power to Prosper,” Pastor Adeboye, said citizens would not experience poverty or backwardness.
“You shall not experience poverty. Rather ye shall enjoy both physical and spiritual prosperity, there will be major breakthroughs in Nigeria,” he said.
The service was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Ondo state Governor, Mr Olusegun Mimiko and many other worshippers.
