Voice of Nigeria gets new Director General

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr Osita Okechukwu as the Director General of Voice of Nigeria.

Mr Okechukwu’s appointment was announced by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed on Wednesday, 25th of May, 2016.

Mr Okechukwu who was born on the 3rd of February, 1955 into a humble home in a rural setting before Nigeria’s independence, hails from Eke, Enugu, North East Nigeria.

He benefitted graciously from government scholarship and social welfare services of the 60s,70s and 80s of Nigerian welfare system.

Mr Okechukwu, a social democrat, humanitarian, pro-people and publicity secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) party, is also a graduate of Law fro University of Nsukka, Enugu state.
