The Nigerian government is working out modalities to get the Nation’s economy back in shape.
The Director General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Osita Okechukwu stated this while receiving members of the Buhari Friends Organisation Network in his office in Abuja.
Mr. Okechukwu, further expressed optimism that the present economy policies by the present administration will deliver the dividends of Democracy to Nigerians.
However, the National Coordinator Buhari Friends Organisation Network, Mr Athanasius Okon said the purpose of the visit to Voice of Nigeria was to congratulate the Director General of the corporation on his recent appointment and to chart a way forward on the current economic challenges faced by the Nigeria.
He said as friends of President Muhammadu Buhari they owe him the responsibility of telling him the feelings of the average Nigerians who are confronted with economic challenges.
“We wish to ask the government to open avenues for more food items to come in through importation, at least for the next six months to compliment the local sources of food production”.
He further stressed that economic palliatives should be put in place to ameliorate the persisting hardship in the country.
