Wikki Tourists captain and right back, Mustapha Ibrahim has said assuredly that his side will shortly return to the summit of the on-going Nigerian top-flight.
The Bauchi outfit were inaction at the weekend following matchday 31 fixture clash opponents, Enyimba’s Caf Champions League assignment at Egyptian giants, Zamalek SC.
Ibrahim said Enugu Rangers current summit position will be short-lived as soon as they are done with the makeup matches and matchday 32 clash against newcomers, Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC in Bauchi on Sunday.
“We are not worried with Enugu Rangers’ continuing stay at the summit despite defeat at oriental neighbours, FC IfeanyiUbah on Sunday in Nnewi.
“We have two outstanding matches against Lobi Stars and Enyimba to come to term with other teams.
“Aside the two makeup matches we are hosting MFM FC on Sunday in Bauchi to leverage on.
“We are not shaken by Enugu Rangers position at the moment which will soon come to a sudden end.
“We will return to the summit by the time we are done with the makeup matches as well as the Sunday’s NPFL matchday 32 clash against MFM FC.
“We have rested quite well as a result of our inability to play champions, Enyimba who were at the continent.
“We know MFM FC are difficult side we will certainly get the job perfectly done to aid our return to the summit.
“Our teeming supporters should not lose sleep over the current status quo at the summit we will climb back to the top as well as clinch the top prize,” said the Wikki Tourists strongman.
Wikki Tourists are second on the Nigerian top-flight log on 50 points one behind league leaders, Enugu Rangers.
