The Nigeria Super Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf, will on Friday release some players of the home-based Super Eagles to their respective Nigeria Professional Football League clubs for this Sunday’s matchday-32 matches.
Salisu, currently preparing his selected players in Kano for the 2018 African Nations Championship qualifier against Benin Republic, will only release players whom their clubs sent flight tickets.
Four players invited from Enugu Rangers have all received their flight tickets from their club and will later face Rivers United in Port Harcourt.
The four Rangers players include; Orji Kalu, Osas Okoro,Chiamaka Madu and Ifeanyi George.
Rangers are in the bottom position in the NPFL log, occupying 17th spot with 39 points from 31 games.
Other players in the team are expected to travel and join their NPFL clubs after the home-based Super Eagles’ morning training on Friday.
Nigeria will face Benin Republic in Cotonou in the first leg clash billed to take place on the weekend of 11th – 13th August with the return leg in Kano, Nigeria on Saturday, 19th August.
The CHAN Eagles won bronze in their tournament debut at South Africa 2014, but but failed to qualify from the group stages in Rwanda in 2016.
