11th AMVCA Call for Entries, Deadline January 31

Africa Magic, in collaboration with MultiChoice, has announced a call for entries for the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

This was confirmed in a statement on Monday by Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice.

She said the entries opened on Monday and will close on Jan. 31, 2025.

She stated that the AMVCA honors outstanding talent, creativity, and innovation in Africa’s film, television, and entertainment industry, highlighting the continent’s top storytellers, performers, and production experts.

“Consequently, filmmakers, producers, production companies, and creators, are encouraged to submit films, made-for-television movies, or television series that were broadcast or publicly screened from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31, for a chance to be recognised at Africa’s most prestigious awards event.

“The awards have become a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of African storytelling.

“We are excited to once again open the doors for talented creatives across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world,” she said.

Tejumola stated that the 11th AMVCA would be a grand celebration of African entertainment, honoring talented creatives and creating lasting memories.

She added that the event would be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels across the continent, bringing the awards’ excitement and glamour to millions of viewers.
