Anambra State: Reps Member to contest Gubernatorial Election

The Member representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chris Azubogu, has declared his interest to contest Anambra State Gubernatorial Election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Presenting his letter of intent to the party leadership in Awka, Hon Azubogu said he decided to join the race to make the difference and unite the party.
He added that if given the opportunity to be the party’s flag bearer for the 6th November 2021 gubernatorial polls, that he would deploy his wealth of experience and skill to win the election.
According to him, the state is in dire need of massive infrastructure, road network and industrial parks to launch itself in fast-growing economies in the nation.
“In addition to my blueprint for quality, skill-based and inclusive education, due attention will be accorded to quality health care, bridging infrastructural gaps, industrialization drive, poverty alleviation through youth and women empowerment amongst others,” he said.
Azubogu told the party faithful that he had articulated a blueprint that would facilitate comprehensive sustainable development of the state if given the opportunity by the electorate.
Responding, the State Chairman of the Party, Ndubuisi Nwobu assured the aspirant that the party would organize a free, fair and transparent primary election for all the aspirants.
He explained that the party would deploy digital technology in its primaries as a situation room would be created to monitor live proceedings to guarantee transparency of the process.
