British Girl Band, Little Mix announces break
British girl band Little Mix has confirmed they’ll be taking a break at the end of their upcoming tour to pursue solo projects after a decade long career.
A message on their official Instagram page reads: “We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year, we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.”
While thanking their fans for their support throughout the last decade, they wrote, “We feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects.”
However, they are adamant that they will not be ‘splitting up’ despite the announcement.
“We are not splitting up – Little Mix are here to stay We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future,” they concluded. “We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.”
“We’re sisters, and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever ♥️ See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x.”
The news of the band’s break comes after weeks of rumours of a possible split.
Little Mix found fame in 2011 after winning the talent hunt show, ‘The X Factor’ and have continued to thrill the world with great music.
In December 2020, former member Jesy Nelson left the group confirming that it was necessary for her mental health.
“The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health,” she said at the time.
The trio is currently fulfilling their commitments and would release their seventh album Between US on November 12, followed by a tour in 2022, after which they would turn to solo projects.
