2023: 52 deregistered political parties endorse SDP Presidential Candidate

Fifty two deregistered political parties in Nigeria known as Mobilising All Nigerians for Good Governance, MAN, says they have endorsed the Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Adewole Adebayo as the 2023 General Election gathers momentum.
The leader of the defunct parties, Dr Odion Cedrack said that their members would register with the SDP and work for all candidates of the party in all positions from the units, to the wards and the national level.
Dr. Cedrack noted that the aim of the group is to ensure that it supports credible candidates that would make positive impact on the lives of Nigerians and the promotion of unity in diversity.
He said that MAN was formed in March 2019 immediately after the last general election, a movement comprising of 52 deregistered political parties, civil societies, NGOs, youths, women and other communities, organizations in Nigeria to work for the progress of the country.
“In addition to ensuring that leaders are accountable and able to deliver on their mandate to Nigerians, we are engaging various political entities and liaising with the different stakeholders through effective communication and leadership prowess.
He added that “In our subsequent meetings and consultations with various political parties and their candidates we resolved the following:
All members from the National level to the Ward level should be Card Carrying members of the Social Democratic Party.”
He further said that in the event of the emergence of the victory of the party, SDP, in the Presidential, legislative both federal and state elections, State governorship election, local government elections, “our members should be planted, rooted and incorporated in unity as part of the system from the ward to the National level.”
In Furtherance to this merger and understanding by both parties, Dr Odion Cedrack Okpebholo who is the Founder/President of this great workforce, on behalf of all members of MAN home and abroad, hereby announce the declaration of the entire members of this great movement into the Social Democratic Party, SDP, workforce of our indéfectible candidate.”
While receiving the delegation of the MAN, the Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Nigeria Prince Adewole Adebayo who expressed his readiness to work with the fifty two deregistered political parties added that “the party has suspended its Presidential campaigns following the demise of the son of Director- General of the SDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Solomon Dalung.”
Prince Adebayo said “the SDP Presidential flag bearer, the former Minister of sports Mr Solomon Dalung who is the candidate for the SDP’s House of Representatives Candidate in Plateau State lost the son during a brief illness in Bauchi State Northeast Nigeria.”
