Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has debunked a document circulating the media described as a “leaked APC 2023 Election Document.”
In a press statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, the party said the document does not originate from their source.
“LEAKED” ELECTION DOCUMENT – A FIGMENT OF OPPOSITION’S IMAGINATION
Indubitably, the document is the handiwork of very sick elements of the opposition @OfficialPDPNig in a desperate quest for unmerited electoral advantage by attempting to smear our Party with wrong doing. pic.twitter.com/KnfuZTDbN1

The document alleged that the APC voted an N6.5trillion to fund schemes aimed at swaying the Nigerian electorate to support and vote for the Party and its Presidential Candidate in 2023.
It further alleged that the APC had budgeted large amounts of money for vote-buying, compromising INEC staff, security operatives, judicial officers, and other officials.
In response, the APC National Publicity Secretary declared the document was false and explained that it intended to win the support of Nigerians through good governance.
“The focus of our party is on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians, hoping they will reciprocate by supporting and voting for our candidates come to 2023 elections.
“We are a law-abiding Party and do not need to engage in any fraud and electoral malpractice suggested in that worthless document,” Morka said.
He accused the opposition of being behind the document and urged Nigerians to disregard it.
