The All Progressive Congress, APC has inaugurated the Youths Mobilisation for North-Central, APC, Presidential Campaign Council that would mobilise teeming youths to ensure the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima comes 12th February 2023.
The Director, of Youths Mobilisation for North-Central, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Mark Tersoo performed the exercise in Abuja Nigeria’s capital.
While performing the inauguration, the Director said the action followed the recent inauguration of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, and published calendar of activities of the party, and the directives of its leadership.
Mr Tersoo then tasked the youths to commence an aggressive mobilisation for the party’s presidential candidate, Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shettima, and other APC candidates across the country.
He further charged the youth that it is now necessary to set out for effective engagement as well as put out the structures in motion towards coordinating an aggressive mobilization of the youths in the six North Central states and the FCT.
The Director advised the youths to go all out the nooks and crannies of the North Central zone of the country and tell the success stories of the party and how far the party has performed in the last seven years and the need to consolidate on the gains by voting for the presidential candidate.
Tersoo also tasked the youths to champion the course for the victory of the presidential candidate in the zone to build a strong partnership, unity, and understanding amongst party stakeholders within the zone and identity means and measures of mobilising more people, especially youths and students to support and vote the party candidate and create more political awareness among citizens base on the Integrity of party’s flag bearers ahead of the election.
He charged the group that because the north central is the third largest geopolitical zone in the country, they need to deploy any means that will convince the electorates to vote for the party presidential candidate during the election to prove their numbers.
While describing the APC presidential candidate as the candidate that has the interest of the youths at heart, the Director charged the youths to develop skills and time to be able to mobilise the teeming youths across the zone for Tinubu/Shettima for the February 12th presidential election.
The Director, of Youths Mobilisation for North-Central, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mr Mark Tersoo then read out the following as Terms of Reference for the APC North Central Youth Mobilsers for the Presidential candidate for the party;
* Commence an aggressive mobilisation of the Youth in the zone under the general supervision of the National Youth Coordinator
* Develop and implement get-out-the-votes ( GOTV ) strategies for targeting students, Youths Clubs, the National Youth council/ National Youth movement, and first-time voters 18-25 years
* Liaise with the grassroots mobilisation Directorate to implement door-to-door campaigns and incentivisation of the youth.
* Organise and identify Youth leaders in each State and build their capacity to educate them in line with the democratic right.
