The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra says it has inaugurated 63,780 youths across the state to mobilise support for the victory of its Presidential Candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the state.
The State Youth Leader of the Party, Ejimofor Jideofor, disclosed this during a Youth Summit staged for the inauguration of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Team in Awka, the State Capital.
He added they were determined to mobilise heavily and guaranteed that the party’s presidential candidate got at least 40 percent of votes cast during the poll in the state.
“We have 5,760 Polling Units in the state; in each unit, we have 10 Mobilisers or Coordinators. Then, in each of the 326 Council Wards, we have 20 Coordinators.
“In each of the 21 Local Government Areas, we have 20 Coordinators; then at the State level, we have 32 Member Board of Directors. These people are moving around the state collecting data and mobilising for the party’s success.”
The Youths understood that with its numerical strength and the support garnered, the party stood a chance of securing victory for its candidate.
A Chieftain of the Party, Chibuzor Obiakor, spoke on the theme of the Summit, “The Place of Youths In Nation Building: The Role of APC Youth In 2023 Election Project”, underscored the importance of unity of purpose and sense of ownership to achieve the desired objective.
The State Chairman of the Party, Chief Basil Ejidike, represented by Mr. Augustine Muomaife, described the event as apt and called on the youths to always work for the party’s success, especially during the 2023 General Elections.
