2023: APC Senatorial Aspirant visits Nasarawa Assembly

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi, says the State Lawmakers from Nasarawa West Senatorial District are waiting for the directive of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders on who to support, for the vacant seat of the Senatorial District.

The Speaker stated this in Lafia while receiving Hon Ahmed Wadada, former House of Representatives member of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona, who is aspiring for the vacant senate seat of Nasarawa West senatorial district occupied by Sen. Abdullahi Adamu the New National Chairman of APC.

Recall that Sen. Abdullahi Adamu has been elected and inaugurated as the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaving the Nasarawa West senatorial seat at the National Assembly vacant.

THE SPEAKER’S REMARK

The Speaker has appreciated Wadada and his team for the visit while describing him as a grassroots politician who has what it takes to lead his people.

“You are a grassroots politician as you have what it takes to represent us.

” It will interest you to know that we, the members of the zone have been talking to each other individually and collectively.

” APC members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly are loyal members of APC and the State government. 

” Any day Governor Sule says this is the direction, we will follow His Excellency’s direction. As for now, we are still waiting for the direction of Engr. AA Sule concerning the senatorial position,” he said.

The Speaker wished Wadada well in his senatorial ambition.

WADADA STATES INTENTION

Meanwhile, Ahmed Wadada, said the visit was to solicit the support of lawmakers from Nasarawa West senatorial district at the state legislature to enable him to win the APC ticket and the senatorial election.

Wadada said he is most qualified to occupy the vacant seat of Nasarawa West Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

He also added that he has the experience to take the zone to a greater height at the National Assembly. “As of today, you are very important, and critical stakeholders as far as the people’s representatives are concerned.

” You have contributed and still contribute immensely in your responsibilities of lawmaking and others.

” Mr. Speaker, you are the source of pride to us and I am so happy with the way you are conducting the affairs of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

” For now, we are three that are contesting for the Nasarawa West senatorial seat. Yes, we are all qualified but I know I am most qualified for the seat,” he said.

The senatorial aspirant lauded the good working relationship and partnership between members of the House and the executive arm in the state. Calling for sustainability.
