2023: Bauchi State PDP inaugurates 31 committees
The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi state inaugurates 31 committees for the state Assembly elections that would equally canvass support ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The Bauchi state, Governor Bala Mohammed, stated this after the committee’s inauguration. He added he was very confident with the calibre of people selected to serve on the committees.
He said the committees were saddled with the responsibility of going to everyone, every polling unit across the 20 LGAs, to talk to the people and seek massive votes for the PDP to have a second term in the administration in 2023.
“I’m very confident and optimistic that our party will become victorious after the general elections coming 2023 in the state and the country at large.”
Also speaking, the state PDP chairman, Hamza Akuyam, said the party sat with stakeholders at various levels to make plans and begin preparation for electioneering campaigns in the state, expressing optimism that the party would come back to power in Bauchi and equally sweep all other elective seats across the country.
He explained that the party has checked and selected committee members with great qualities in their various constituencies, including winners and losers of the last primary elections across the state.
The chairman stated that as INEC is going on scientific voting in the general elections, the PDP as a party in Bauchi will also adopt a scientific campaign method in the state.
The PDP deputy director of campaign operations, Abdulrazaq Zaki, earlier told journalists that the party divided the consultations into three categories: the State Assembly, the House of Representatives and the Senate, and the Governorship and Presidential election, respectively.
