The Governorship flag bearer of All Progressive Congress APC in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Mr. Francis Nwifuru has promised to work in partnership with journalists to develop the State in all ramifications when he becomes the Governor of the State in the 2023 General Elections.
Nwifuru gave the advice after receiving an award for outstanding Speaker from the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists Ebonyi State Chapter, in Abakaliki, the State Capital.
The Governorship flag bearer, who is also the current Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, encouraged journalists in the State and across Nigeria to always discharge their duties without fear or favour.
Mr. Nwifuru said, “I am grateful to the People of the State and APC in particular, who have found me worthy to be the next Governor of the State under the APC platform.
“I thank the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for capturing me in their database as the only APC Gubernatorial Candidate in the State.”
He urged journalists to always balance their reportage to suit both the poor and the rich.
The State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Tony Nwizi, commended the speaker for his outstanding achievement at the Legislature.
Earlier, the State Chairman of Correspondents Chapel of NUJ, Mr. Samson Nwafor, charged the Speaker to continue to make Laws that can benefit the Ebonyi people as he is already doing.
