The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, says education is a critical aspect of national development. If elected into power, one of his main goals would be to resolve the issues with the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) to enable students to return to school.

Kwankwaso addressed party members at the NNPP’s National Convention and Presidential Primary in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

According to Kwankwaso, the educational system cannot be effective without security. Hence, he will do what it takes to support the nation’s security agencies, ensure they are adequately equipped with arms and ammunition, training and re-training of personnel, and ensure the welfare of all personnel.

The NNPP presidential flag bearer commiserated with the people of Ondo State, Kaduna State, and all victims of all forms of insecurity across the country.

He stated further that Nigeria needs strong leadership to tackle all the challenges in the various sectors of national life.

“We need a government that can tackle infrastructural defenses, especially regarding roads, train transportation, and the Aviation industry, to make it affordable for the masses.

“Reviving the economy is a priority. While most people can not afford good food, health care, electricity, and water supply, NNPP is an alternative to the other political parties.

“I encourage you all to go back and get your PVC, for yourself, your family, and everybody, because that is the only way we can bring positive change to Nigeria,” Stated Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso also promised that the NNPP would change entirely the country’s political terrain and reminded Nigerians that the contest of 2023 is an option from insecurity to security, power outage to power supply; therefore, the electorate must choose wisely.
