2023 elections: Nigerian celebrities, INEC meet over youth empowerment
As the 2023 gubernatorial elections draw nearer, steps have been taken to ensure citizens register to be eligible for voting.
One of such steps was discussed at a dinner in Lagos State, Nigeria organized by the European Union Support to Democratic Governance which the Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigerian artists and influencers attended.

With a clear objective to ensure the Nigerian youths get their primary voters card (PVC), the dinner became an avenue to brainstorm on how to “utilize prime entertainment to meet civil responsibilities.”
Some of those in attendance were Omawunmi, Falz, Mr Macaroni, Uti, Real Warri Pikin and a host of other celebrities. Also present was the INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
This is coming after the Mega concert that held on Saturday, the 11th of June which artists like The Voice Nigeria judge, Waje, Omawunmi, Tu Baba, Falz put together to enable eligible youths register for the elections.
