2023: Former Senate President pledges to tackle insecurity in Nigeria

Former Senate president Abubakar Bukola Saraki has promised to tackle the issue of insecurity in Nigeria, if elected president in the 2023 general election.
Saraki stated this on Monday, while addressing delegates and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital.
He said the country is faced with the challenges of insecurity and pledged to tackle it amicably.
According to him, “one of my priorities would be tackling insecurity, unemployment and ensuring massive food production across the nation.
“If elected, my administration will provide the necessary security to enable farmers and other well meaning Nigerians go back to thier farms and enjoy a normal life devoid of fear”,
“I will tackle the security problems of this country in such a way that peace will be revived, farmers can go to the farm and everybody will live in peace” he added.
Responding, the state PDP chairman Mr. Francis Orogu, described Saraki as vibrant and politically exposed.
He said Saraki has the capacity to govern Nigeria stressing that only the PDP is capable of tackling the challenges facing the nation.
