The presidential flagbearer of the  All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that Nigeria will experience more progress when he wins the 2023 general elections.

Tinubu stated this while commissioning the APC  Presidential/State Campaign office along club road in Kano state north Western Nigeria.

He said the party will win the election,  consolidate on the gains of the President Muhammadu Buhari  led administration in Nigeria and introduce new measures for the country to experience more progress.

This party will receive victory, this country will experience progress, this office will be filled with joy come February 2023,” he said.

Tinubu urged Nigerians not to have any regret or be decieved by critics of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, that he has not performed in his seven years of democratic stewardship of the nation.

Don’t have any regret at all. Don’t allow those who doesn’t know the way to victory, doesn’t understand the success of a nation lie to you about Buhari or anybody. Don’t let them throw it back at them. Take your broom firmly and sweep Nigeria clean, “ he said.

Tinubu sought for pardon, while appealling to party loyalists who felt not adequately rewarded for their contributions to excercise restraint as he will change the reward system after becoming the president of Nigeria in 2023.

Those whom I think have not been adequately rewarded, I beg your pardon forget it. The time of God Almighty is the best time. God will answer your prayers and give you the ultimate and good rewards. As I stand before you, I promise that I will change the reward system once I become the President Insha Allah. You will not regret ever working for our party,” he said.

According to him, the visit was not for the political rally but to inspect and commission party offices and consult with the business community in Kano, the second biggest commercial city in Nigeria.

It is a joy for me to be back home in Kano. We are not conducting any rally, we are only inspecting and talking to business groups. I will come back prepared to do a big rally,” explained Tinubu.

The National Chairman of APC Abdullahi Adamu said the ruling party has no reason not to deliver all electoral seats in the coming elections.

We have no reason or excuses not to deliver the President, State Governors and members of the National and state Assembly come 2023,” said Adamu.

Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, while appreciating the rousing welcome accorded the APC Presidential  candidate by Kano people and beyond said the state has a good political transition as his Deputy, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his former Commissioner for Local Government Sule Garo is about to succeed him in office.

Tinubu during the visit is also expected to pay a courtesy call on the Emir of Kano and hold meetings with Muslim and Christian leaders in the state.
