2023: PDP holds presidential rally in Benin on Saturday
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold its presidential rally on Saturday, in Benin, Edo State capital.
Recall that PDP presidential candidate, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and party bigwigs have held a similar campaign in Kaduna State, after its flag-off in Akwa Ibom State.
Although Atiku is currently in Europe on business, he is expected to return today, Friday according to party sources.

Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in a statement Thursday, charged all party leaders and supporters to converge on Benin, Edo State this Saturday.
The statement read in part “This invite all elected PDP Governors, members of PDP National Working Committee, NASS Members, NEC members, BOT, members, state chapters, former governors, former Ministers, PDP candidates ; and stakeholders to the EDO State presidential campaign rally as scheduled below:
“Date: Saturday 22nd October, 2022, the venue is Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State and the time is 10:00AM prompt
“Please endeavour to attend and participate as we join hands with our Presidential Candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON, (Waziri Adamawa) and Vice presidential candidate, H. E Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa CON, to Rescue Nigeria”.
