2023 Presidency: Group advocates for zoning to South East

A non partisan political advocacy group in Nigeria, known as United For Better Nigeria Initiative has advocated for the zoning of the 2023 Presidential Candidates of People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives Congress, APC to Southeast, Nigeria.

The Coordinator General of the group Mrs Nkolika Mkparu said that “supporting the Southeast candidacy to produce the next president of Nigeria would promote political culture across the six geopolitical zones in the country.”

Mrs Mkparu   explained that the zone has produce quality leadership in various capacities and would do more if given the mandate it would also bring political stability in the zone and better transformation in the country.

She added that the National Convention provided opportunity for more advocacies to seek support and possible enlistment of politicians for the unification and better Nigeria.

The convention which was held in Abuja Nigeria’s Capital brought together some notable and new breed politicians across the country especially those of the Southeast zone, among which is former  President of the Senate, Dr Ayim Pius Ayim, former Governor of Anambra State Southeast Nigeria, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife among others.
