Former Federal legislator from Yobe State, Senator Sheriff Abdullahi, a former Member in the House of Representatives and the Senate, has emerged as the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic.
Senator Abdullahi scored the highest votes, defeating two other aspirants.
Announcing the results, the Returning Officer and Chairman of the Primary Election Committee for Yobe State, Mr. Amin Taura-Abdulahi, said Senator Abdullahi scored 295 votes, followed by his closest rival, Mr. Ali Adamu Tikau, who scored 129 votes, while Mr. Abbagana Tata, who scored 109 votes.
The Returning Officer said explained that there were 539 accredited voters, who all voted, but out it, six were invalid.
