2023: YPP holds Presidential Primary Election

The Young  Progressive Party YPP is about to commence its presidential Primaries in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The YPP convention which is taking place at the Palma Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, is the third National convention of the party.

The party has two Presidential aspirants, Prince Ado Malik Ibrahim, a businessman and a politician from Kogi state north-central Nigeria and Mrs Ruby Isaac Chinenye, Entrepreneur and Finance Manager from Abia state south-east Nigeria.

Seventy four delegates from each state are expected to cast their votes.

Delivering the welcome address, the Party South south Zonal Chairman, Mr Tosan  Blessing  said convention was to establish a platform to generate a candidate that would  deliver the party on its mandate and also birth a new Nigeria.

“we can no longer afford to be having the same type of people who takes from the government and give nothing back to the society, we have given the present leadership of  opportunity as a nation but they fail Nigerians,” he stated.

He said the  party was ready to bring back Nigeria to it’s redemption glory.

He added that crisis in all sectors across Nigeria requires urgent attention.

Similarly the  YPP National Chairman Bishop Amakiri has urged all delegates at the convention to distinguish themselves from commercial delegates and be patriotic delegates to bring about the change and transformation Nigerians want.

“If YPP must win election we must do the right thing.” The Chairman stated.

Meanwhile the two Presidential Aspirants have arrived at the venue of the convention.
