The Management of Nasarawa United Football Club has unveiled Mangut Mbwas Ayuba as the new Technical Adviser of the team ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Speaking at an unveiling ceremony in Lafia, Chairman, Nasarawa Utd FC, Solomon Babanja, said that the appointment followed the exit of the former Technical Adviser, Salisu Yusuf, after the 2024/2025 season.

Babanja described the new coach as well-experienced as far as football is concerned and is one of the best in the country currently.
He explained that many people had indicated interest in replacing the former Technical Adviser, but the team chose Ayuba because of his wealth of experience in the league and philosophy as well.
Responding, the new Technical Adviser, Mangut Mbwas Ayuba, expressed gratitude to the Nasarawa State Government and the management of the club for the confidence they have in him.
The Coach said that the club would fortify and strengthen the players in every department to enable them to win the league and take the team to the continental level.
He also appealed that the entitlements of the players and the technical team should be paid promptly to motivate them to win every game, and promised to handle the rest to ensure the club triumphs in the coming season.
Also speaking, Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr Yakubu Kwanta, congratulated the technical Adviser and assured him of the maximum support from the government to succeed.
The Commissioner further assured him that the government would give him freehand to operate and would not interfere with his technical decisions.
The highlights of the event include the signing of the contract, which had in attendance, Nasarawa State Chairman of Football Association, Salisu Galadima, board members of the club, among others.
