The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State has launched a grassroots-driven campaign strategy ahead of the November 8, 2025, governorship election, aiming to mobilise support from the community level upward.

The party’s governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, unveiled the new strategy at the APC state secretariat while inaugurating 52 grassroots support groups drawn from the state’s 21 Local Government Areas.

Ukachukwu emphasised that the campaign will be anchored on deep voter engagement and local mobilization, extending to all 326 wards and 5,720 polling units across Anambra.

“Our strategy begins at the LGA level and cascades down to every polling unit. Victory at the grassroots is key to winning the state,” he said. “Don’t just give me a strategy to win the state—give me a strategy to win your polling units and wards. If we succeed there, the state is ours.”

He urged party members to assume leadership roles in their respective communities, acting as campaign directors to galvanize support.

Addressing over 980 representatives of the newly formed support groups, Ukachukwu called for intensified efforts in voter sensitisation and urged citizens to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

“The National Secretariat and Mr. President have entrusted us with the mandate to reclaim Anambra for the APC. We must not fail,” he added.

In a notable political development, Mr. Fabian Ozigbo, former Head of Logistics for the Labour Party (LP) in Anambra, led a faction of LP members to the APC event, formally endorsing Ukachukwu’s candidacy.

“I am delighted to align with Evangelist Ukachukwu and the APC because I believe they offer a credible vision and real solutions for the future of Anambra State,” Ozigbo said, expressing confidence in the party’s chances in the upcoming election.

With growing alliances and a widespread grassroots network, the APC is positioning itself as a strong contender in the race, aiming to end years of opposition dominance in Anambra politics.
