2027: Nasarawa North APC Stakeholders Endorse President Tinubu, Governor Sule

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Nasarawa North Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and Governor Abdullahi Sule to represent the zone as a Senator in the National Assembly in 2027.

The endorsement was made during a stakeholders meeting of the zone held in Akwanga local government area of the state.

The stakeholders converged from the three Local Government Areas of the zone comprising Akwanga, Wamba and Nasarawa Eggon and insisted that the state governor being the most-qualified for the position from the zone should accept their requests and contest for the position.

The stakeholders meeting which jointly organised by the Chairmen of the three LGAs in the zone, and tagged, “Unity, Progress, and Consolidation for Greater Service”.

After the meeting, in a communique read by a former Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Timothy Anjide, the APC stakeholders pledged to continue to support policies and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of residents of the zone.

While declaring their unflinching support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, the stakeholders commended him for appointing Son’s and Daughters from Nasarawa North Senatorial District into strategic positions in Federal Agencies, Boards, and Parastatals.

“The Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, Nasarawa North Senatorial District, met in a critical session to deliberate on pressing issues concerning the party, the government, and the future of the district”.

“The meeting was well attended by the key Stakeholders of the APC in the Northern Senatorial District. After extensive and fruitful deliberations, the meeting resolved as follows:

The meeting acknowledged and appreciated the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for appointing Son’s and Daughters of Nasarawa North Senatorial district into strategic positions in Federal Agencies, Boards, and Parastatals”.

In recognition of his vision, leadership, and developmental focus, the Stakeholders unanimously endorsed Mr. President for a second term in office”.

The Stakeholders deeply appreciates His Excellency for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, impactful developmental strides, and consistent support for the APC family in the district”.

A unanimous vote of confidence was passed on His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, FNSE, with strong call and appeal to His Excellency to represent Nasarawa North in the Senate come 2027″.

“The Stakeholders resolved to work in unity and solidarity to strengthen the APC across all units, wards and Local Government Areas within the Senatorial District. The meeting emphasised discipline, inclusion, and grassroots mobilisation”.

“The Stakeholders pledged to continue supporting policies and initiatives aimed at uplifting communities, empowering the youth and women, and ensuring sustained development in the Senatorial District”. Reading the communique, Anjide noted.

Anjide further explained that according to the communique, the meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, shared vision, and collective responsibility to uphold the ideals and objectives of the APC in Nasarawa North and beyond.

Speaking with Journalists shortly after the Nasarawa North APC stakeholders meeting, the Chairman of Akwanga LGA and State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments Of Nigeria, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha said the meeting was also meant to discuss the way forward for the party and its members in the zone.

“There was a unanimous agreement that His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule should contest for Senate during the 2027 general election. I am optimistic that my Governor being a democrat, will listen to the voices of his people and answer our call”.

“Apart from the endorsements of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sule for the 2027 elections, another purpose of the meeting was for the unity of the party. We talked to ourselves that for the interest of the party, we must keep all grievances aside and work together as a people,” he added.
