The students of Ogun State have expressed their appreciation to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his recognition of academic excellence, particularly for rewarding the Best Graduating Students at the University of Lagos’ 50th Convocation.

The two outstanding students, Samuel Badekale and Haroun Adebakin, were appointed as Education Ambassadors for Ogun State and received N10 million each from the governor.

In a statement issued by the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), the student leaders praised Governor Abiodun for his exemplary leadership and his commitment to promoting education.

They commended his efforts in supporting Ogun students, including the prompt payment of bursaries and the improvement of infrastructure in state-owned institutions.

The students also highlighted the governor’s inclusivity, noting that students from other states studying in Ogun institutions have benefited from similar gestures.

The reward for the two students is seen as a significant motivator, inspiring other students in the state to strive for academic excellence.

The NAOSS further stated that Governor Abiodun’s actions have placed Ogun State at the forefront of educational advancement in Nigeria, with a clear focus on rewarding merit and fostering a culture of hard work.
