5,000 households get N30000 cash Grants from Kwara Govt

The Kwara State Government, North Central Nigeria has begun another disbursement of relief funds to a new round of 5000 vulnerable households.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Acting General Manager of the state Social Investment Programmes, ( KWASSIP) Dr Abdulwasiu Tejidini .


According to him, the disbursement  commenced after weeks of enumeration process across the 16 local government areas of the state.

“We have started the disbursement for new support to another 5, 000 vulnerable households in the state. Each beneficiary gets the sum of N30,000,” Tejidini added.

He disclosed that this development  is to complement the other interventions the administration has been doing to grant relief to the masses in the face of inflation in the country.
“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq  is unrelenting in his quest to provide succor to the people within the limit of available resources”,he stated further.  

The statement stressed that the new support for vulnerable households followed another public workforce scheme, which was done earlier in February.

At least 8000 unemployed youths and women were captured and credited as the Kwara State Government continue to roll out a bevy of programmes to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal in the state.
