6 Brigade Nigerian Army Foils Kidnapping Operation, Arrest Suspects

The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), has apprehended 12 suspected kidnappers in Taraba State, North East Nigeria.
The successful operation in a statement by the spokesperson of the Brigade, Captain Olubodunde Oni, began on November 7, 2024, after residents of Chachanji village reported the abduction of two individuals by a group of about 10 armed men on motorcycles.
Items recovered during the operations include 14 motorcycles, A locally fabricated pistol, and Two bags of Indian hemp
12 suspects were arrested at a local drinking joint in Mbhakyir village on November 9, 2024
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being part of the kidnapping operation and identified their leader as Veior John Gata, a notorious terrorist.
The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army praises residents for their cooperation and encourages continued support in reporting suspicious activities to ensure public safety.
