Army’s Wives Call For Serenity, Peace in Home Front

The Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, NAOWA has urged its members to ensure serenity and peace in home front so that their husbands will have peace while working.

 

They said husband’s work is stressful especially at this trying time when the Nation is facing security challenges.

 

The Guest of Honour, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya made this known in Abuja during the Celebration of the President Organization of Military Sports in Africa, OSMAwho was promoted to Major General.

The NAOWA President said that “Major General Abdullahi Maikano has reached to the pick of his career and as such what is expected of him, is absolute loyalty to the constitution and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces of Federal Republic of Nigeria, President, Muhammadu Buhari”.

 

She also said that on behalf of her family and NAOWA, they say big congratulations to the celebrant.

 

She prayed that he would finish his career well.

 

In his response, the President Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, OSMA, Major General Abdullahi Maikano who gave vote of thanks said that “his thanks first goes to God who elevated him to the last track of his career as an Army Officer”.

General Maikano also showed appreciation to those who supported him, his family, colleagues, friends saying all of them contributed to this achievement adding that without the family support, he wouldn’t have reached this level.

 

Participants,including family members gave encouraging remarks about him and his achievement, particularly, his selfless service to the Nation.

 

Gifts were presented to the celebrants.
