AFCON 2021: Wednesday’s Schedule Of Matches In Cameroon

The following is the schedule of matches to be played at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Wednesday, 12th January, 2022 in Cameroon:

Group E

Equatorial Guinea vs Ivory Coast, 8 p.m.

Ivory Coast players in training ahead of Equatorial Guinea match

Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast face off at the Stade omnisport de Douala in Douala, which both sides looking to claim all three points to top Group E.

The only previous encounter between the two sides in the Africa Cup of Nations was in the quarter-finals of the 2012 edition of the tournament. Ivory Coast won 3-0.

Group F

Tunisia vs Mali, 2 p.m.

It would be a clash of warriors when Tunisia and Mali lock horns at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in Limbe. Mali are so far unbeaten against Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations.

They have met twice previously, each time in the group phase. Mali won 2-0 in 1994, before a 1-1 draw in 2019. This is Tunisia’s 20th participation in the AFCON tournament, while Mali will be making its 12th participation.

Mauritania vs Gambia, 5 p.m.

Mauritania players in training ahead of Gambia match

Neighbours Mauritania and Gambia will start their Group F adventure of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with an awaited encounter in at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in Limbe.

This will be the first encounter between Mauritanaia and Gambia at the AFCON tournament, with the latter being one of only two nations to make their AFCON debut this year, alongside the Comoros.
