The Director-General of the Progressives Governors Forum, PGF, Mr Salihu Lukman, has resigned from his position as the DG of the Forum.
Following the division among the governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) over whether the party’s National Convention should hold or not, the Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has resigned from the office.
Recall that Mr Lukman has publicly spoken many times supporting the need to hold the APC’s National Convention in February as approved by the President. He has also verbally accused the National Caretaker Committee led by Governor Mai Mala Buni (a Progressive Governor) of delaying the process.
However, the Progressives Governors are divided on the Convention matter.
Efforts to speak with the PGF DG has been unsuccessful.
