FCT POLLS: Voting on-going in Kuje

Accredition and voting has begun in Kuje central Ward 1 polling unit 006.

The independence National electoral commission INEC has started the process with the use of Biometric Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) with a total of 3476 registered voters in polling unit 006 for the Chairmanship and Councilor election in the FCT.

 

There are over 10 electoral wards in the Kuje Area council.

Meanwhile, there are 262 polling units and total number of registered voters are 127,444.

 

 

According to the Electoral Officier, Kuje Area council, Mrs Zaniab, Gbefwi, Kuje has over 10 electoral wards, 262 polling units and 127,444 registered while 3 polling units are without registration therefore there will be no election in those areas.

This is a ward in kuje Area council, polling unit 035. This ward has only 2 registered voter which 2 has casted his vote. INEC Officier, Mr. Muhammad Abdullahi says they await the second person to come and cast his vote. According to him, the polling unit was newly created.

 

INEC officials and their Election materials arrived at Sundaba polling unit, ward 060 kuje Area council at 10:10, accreditation and voting started at 10:20 with a number of 12 registered voters.

The INEC Officer, Miss Afolayan Oyomide, said logistics challenges was the reason for their late commencement.

 

Even those with disability were not left out of the voting process.
