A political group known as Atiku Rescue Nigeria has called on Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, to contest for the office of Nigeria’s President in the 2023 General Election.
The National Coordinator of the group Mr Aminu Bala in a media luncheon in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, said that Mr Atiku Abubakar has been tested and trusted as Nigeria’s Vice President from 1999 to 2007.
Mr Bala also said that the Vice President was the Chairman of the National Economic Council on Privatisation, who has worked with Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo to free Nigeria from a debt overhang of over Thirty Billion Dollars accumulated over time by the previous administrations.
He added that Mr Abubakar is the unifier and Statesman that Nigeria needs.
