Legislators begin voting on constitution amendment Bill

Nigerian Legislators have begun voting on the bill that seeks to amend the country’s constitution, with 68 items (Bills) slated for alteration.

Both chambers of the National Assembly; the Senate & House of Representatives, have adopted the electronic voting system for the exercise.

National Assembly Correspondents Edwin Akwueh & Lawan Hamidu who are following the process in the respective chambers, observe that some of the issues for alteration include; Diaspora voting right, devolution of power, Autonomy of state Legislature & state Judiciary, among others.
