Quadri Aruna Crashes Out Of World Table Tennis Tournament
Nigerian star Quadri Aruna was knocked out of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender Muscat after a 3-0 (11-7, 11-8, 13-11) loss to China’s LIU Dingshuo in the quarter-finals of the event.
Aruna, the only surviving African player in the competition, failed to go past his world no. 7 ranked opponent after his triumph over Joao Geraldo of Portugal in the round of 16 on Thursday.
The Nigerian put up a fight, but his Chinese opponent proved too strong for Africa’s highest ranked player.
