Governor Bello in closed-door meeting with party leaders at APC Headquarters

The governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, has arrived at the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress, APC and is currently in a closed-door meeting with some members of the APC Caretaker Committee and other party leaders.

The meeting is ongoing amidst unconfirmed media reports that the President has sacked the convener of APC Caretaker Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and appointed the Niger state governor, Sani Bello as sole administrator.

Meanwhile, the APC Caretaker Secretary, Senator John Akpanudohedehe, had earlier dismissed the removal of Governor Buni as fake news.

Although, reports state that the security at the secretariat was beefed up as this could be because of the news mentioned above.
Reports further show that governor Buni’s removal is coming a few weeks to the planned National Convention of the party dated March 26, 2022.
