The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU in Nigeria , has extended its warning strike for another two months.
The decision on the extension the strike was taken at the union’s National Executive Council, NEC meeting held in Abuja last night.
The union is yet to make further public statement regarding the outcome of the meeting.
Meanwhile, before the scheduled meeting over the weekend, ASUU had announced via twitter to declare possible total, indefinite and ‘suffocating’ strike.

A source disclosed to Voice of Nigeria that the strike is extended by 2months.
