The Nigerian Teachers Facebook community is gaining recognition rapidly with over 300, 000 members, making it the largest in Nigeria.

The community is a platform where teachers share free resources for teaching and networking to achieve quality education.

Facebook Community Accelerator Award Winner 2021, Dr Peter Ogudoro said; “the Nigerian teachers are being trained in the community, to attract at least a trillion naira into Nigeria from their educational services.”

He made this known while addressing Kenyan Teachers who hosted him as a Guest speaker during their Gala event held at Hilton Hotel, Nairobi under the auspices of Teachers Notice Board Kenya. The Board is teachers’ community of over 400, 000 members.

Dr Ogudoro stated that “Facebook is currently supporting the Nigerian Teachers’ community with opportunities to promote the quality of education and build the nation.”

Facebook is also assisting the Community to acquire cutting-edge skills in teaching and school promotion, to enable the teachers earn the income they deserve and attract huge foreign exchange from abroad.

This according to Dr Ogudoro, will improve their welfare and promote the economy and reputation of Nigeria.

He encouraged public and private school owners in the country to pay teachers well and invest enormously in education and continuous professional development of teachers to become globally competitive.
