At the end of the last trading day of the week, a total of 177.09 million shares worth N4.18 billion were traded in 3,973 deals.
The market capitalisation inched up slightly by N2 billion to close at N25,311 trillion as against N25,309 recorded on Thursday while the All-Sare Index rose by 0.01 per cent or 3.94 basis points to close at 46,964.23 points compared with 46,969.29 the previous day.
The market sentiment closed in the negative territory as trading closed with 15 gainers and 16 losers.
Top on the gainer’s list for the day was PZ Cussons which gained 0.60k to close at N9.30k. It was followed by Japaul Gold and Ventures with N0.02k gain and a closing price of 0.33k and FTN Cocoa Processors with 0.02k gain and a closing price of N0.35k.
Conversely, Northern Nigeria Flour Mills came out last with a 0.85k loss and a closing price of N10.00k followed by FCMB Group which lost 0.26k to close at N3.34k and livestock Feeds lost 0.10k to close at N1.55k.
Fidelity Bank traded the highest volume of 62.7 million shares on Friday and it was followed by Zenith Bank with 22 million traded shares.
