Niger State initiates Youth Talent Hunt

The Niger State Government is planning a Youth Talent Hunt Exhibition in an effort to foster creativity among Youth across the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Matane,who stated this during a media briefing in preparation for the commencement of the program, explained that the exhibition was going to be in five categories such as; ICT Design, Automobile Design, Art and Craft, Soccer and Poems.

He said Participants are expected to be between ages 15 and 40 and would be selected from the 25 local government areas of the state.

The Coordinator of Youth Empowerment and Mobilisation, Umar Mohammed further atated that the exhibition was aimed at hunting for talents, improving and developing them, and exposing them to the needed market.

He said the overall winner would  go home with a brand new car while positions 1 to 3 of various categories will get  scholarships, cash and other prizes.

The Niger State  government has already inaugurated a 13-man committee, and has charged them to do everything possible to ensure that the process is sustained.
