Ramadan: Niger State Governor urges Muslims to pray for security

The Governor of Niger State in North Central Nigeria, Abubakar Sani Bello ,has urged Muslims in the state to use the period of Ramadan to pray against lingering security challenges bedeviling parts of the state.
The Governor in a statement by his spokesperson Mary Noel Berje, described the Holy month as a period for sober reflection, sacrifice, abstinence and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
The Governor who further congratulated Muslims on the commencement of Ramadan fast on Saturday also enjoined Muslim faithfuls to use the period of Ramadan in praying for sustainable peace and unity in the country.
“This is a period of intense spiritual renewal and when Muslims everywhere reflect upon the guidance that comes with faith.”
“A time to focus and reflect on the deeds of empathy and spiritual growth, forgiveness, and resilience, compassion for those less fortunate, and unity across communities.”
Governor Sani Bello,however reassured the people of his commitment to their security and well-being despite the challenges, stressing that they are surmountable.
