Access bank PLC has awarded ten Batch ‘A’ Stream ‘2’ National Youth Service Corps Members (NYSC) with cash prices for this year’s ‘Accessprenuer’ programme in Ebonyi State, South-East, Nigeria.
This is aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs to be self-reliant on completion of their service.
The Regional Manager of Access Bank PLC, Mr Chinedu Eze, said the bank partnered with NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) to finance, support and also scale up the business of young entrepreneurs.
After series of scrutiny, Suleiman Khalid Ahmed who won the first place received N1,000,000, Adebayo Oluwafemi Victor, who came second received N700,000, Ilesanmi Adedeji Emmanuel who came third received #400,000, Aladejobi Elizabeth who came fourth received N250,000, Ikechukwu Emmanuel who came fifth received N150,000 while consolation prize of N100,000 each was given to other remaining 5 contestants.
The Chief Judge, Mrs Chinyere Otuonye appreciated the beneficiary’s courage and further admonished them to use the grant for its purpose.
Ebonyi State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Bamai Dawuda Mercy commended Access Bank PLC for being interested in the development of young entrepreneurs and further said NYSC Ebonyi state is lucky to be among the 5 states that benefitted from the programme.
Mrs Bamai, who declared SAED closed today during exhibition encouraged corps members to make good use of the skills learnt to become job makers instead of job seekers.
