Aribo, Bassey nominated for Rangers’ awards

Super Eagles players Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey are among the nine nominees for the Rangers’ Men’s Player of the Year award as voting began yesterday to decide the winner of the gong this season.

Being the 150th anniversary season of Rangers’, the team boasts of a number of incredible moments already including the best European campaign since 2008, first-time qualification into the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the women’s team, and the debut of a number of academy players into the first team.

Aribo and Bassey have been in fine form for Rangers’ this season with Aribo netting several crucial goals for the Scottish champions this season and he will battle for the Player of the Year with the likes of Bassey, Connor Goldson, Glen Kamara, Ryan Kent, John Lundstram, Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe, and James Tavernier.

Supporters now have the opportunity to cast their vote on who will be crowned first team Player of the Year which will be presented by Douglas Laing & Co at the Player Awards Ceremony on Sunday 24th April.

Voting for the Women’s Player of the Year, presented by Biowave, is also now open and this vote has been shared with supporters who have purchased tickets to a Rangers women’s match this season.

Seven women’s players are available to choose from including Lizzie Arnot, Nicola Docherty, Brogan Hay, Tessel Middag, Jane Ross, Chantelle Swaby and Demi Vance.
