Nigeria’s first animation movie premieres on Netflix
Nigeria’s first animation movie ‘Ladybuckit and the Motley Mopsters’ is now on Netflix.
The cinematic animated film premiered on Friday, April 15, over a year after its nationwide theatrical release.
Lady Buckit and the motley monsters is Nigeria’s first ever feature length animation movie and was first hit the cinemas in 2020.
The news was confirmed on the film’s social media handles @lbmmthemovie with a photo captioned:
“The wait is finally over! Nigeria’s first cinematic, feature length animation movie, Ladybuckit & the Motley Mopsters is now streaming on Netflix! This Easter, join a band of marvelous misfits on an extraordinary family adventure!”
The movie stars Bimbo Akintola, Kalu Ikeagwu, Patrick Doyle and other, and along with fresh voices of 11 and 13-year-old Jessica and David Edwards.
The hit movie follows a self absorbed little girl who finds herself in wildly unfamiliar territory where she encounters a band of highly unusual characters who change the course of her destiny.
’Ladybuckit and the Motley Mopsters’ is written by Blessing Amidu, Stanlee Ohikuare, directed by Adebisi Adetayo and executive produced by Blessing Afidu and Nero Afiari.
