Easter celebration: Nigerians urged to prioritise safety

The Acting Controller General of the Federal Fire Service of Nigeria, Dr. Karebo Samson has called on Nigerians to prioritise safety during Easter celebration.

The  Acting CG of the Federal Fire Service FFS made the call in a press release to wish Christians faithful a peaceful Easter celebration in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in Abuja, Nigeria, tasked Christians to ensure diligent safety precautions while celebrating.

The ACG Karebo acknowledged that, there will be a lot of cooking related activities during the Easter season.

“I know this period there will be a lot of cocking, I advise that all cooking precautionary measures such as not leaving cooking unattended to, keeping matches away from children, keeping the gas cylinder outside the kitchen must be complied with,  to avoid fire incidences,” he said.

The Acting Controller General has directed all commands to be on red alert so as to ensure quick response to emergencies during the Easter celebration and called on Nigerians to make sure they have the emergency numbers handy and call the Service in a case of fire or any emergency.
