Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved a reversal to the ban on the traditional practice of Sallah celebrations and paying of Sallah and Christmas homages on him as well as chairmen and members of the Adanawa State Council of Traditional Rulers.

The approval came, following the ease of the effect of Covid-19 pandemic worldwide.

A statement by the Governor has however, requested that all concerned should pay him homage only at Ed el-Kabir and Christmas periods.

“You are therefore through this circular to note the resumption of normal traditional practice of Sallah and Christmas homage and celebrations, please,” Governor Fintiri stated.

He wishes all Muslims a happy and peaceful forth coming Eid-el fitri celebration.
