A former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has publicly declared his ambition to contest for the presidential ticket of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC.

Mr Oshiomhole, who made his declaration in Abuja, said he envisions a Nigeria where everyone is accepted for who they are and not their ethnicity.

Mr Oshiomhole, a former labour union leader, said he would engage all stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

He further explained that he was not too focused on the figures showing the growth of Nigeria’s GDP but was more interested in how that growth will translate to employment and wealth for every citizen in the country.

The former Edo governor advised Nigerians to stop lamenting their challenges but take proactive steps to address them, such as voting for a President who can bring change.
